TWO WEEKS ago, a group of Belarusian children arrived in California for six weeks of fun with host families in Marin and Sonoma.
For the children, who hail from regions affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, it's also an opportunity to strengthen their immune systems with fresh air and clean food and water.

CCP will be marching in this years Petaluma Butter and Eggs Day Parade. The parade is held in downtown Petaluma on Saturday, April 25th. CCP President Ruth Hansen and Vice President Linda McMahon leave Monday, November 9th for a trip to the Ukraine and Belarus. Just under three weeks, their trip will include visits to several orphanages, homes of past host children and meetings with administrative contacts. We are very excited to announce that a large part of their journey will be covered in a upcoming documentary film, currently titled "Little Chernobyl". Please note that this chapter supports host families in an area just north of San Francisco in Marin County, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, and Sonoma. If you are outside those areas, we recommend that you contact the Children of Chernobyl U.S. Alliance for information on other chapters worldwide.
